A dramatic black-and-white website for a Cuban dance studio. High-contrast photography, an animated class schedule, and event booking built to match the intensity of what happens on the floor.
Overview
A professional Cuban dance school and performance company. The brand needed a website that communicated movement, precision, and passion: the same qualities that define the school's teaching. A corporate template would have been an insult to the craft.
Black and white photography shot in sharp contrast, large display type at near-cinematic scale, and animated transitions that echo the quality of the movement create a digital presence that is unmistakably theirs. The class schedule, level descriptions, and booking system all live within the same visual language, never breaking the brand's atmosphere.
Live weekly schedule with level filtering. Beginners, intermediate, and professional classes at a glance.
Social events, workshops, and performance nights bookable directly. Seats fill faster when the process is frictionless.
Performance archive and class gallery . The best recruitment tool a dance school has.
Animated transitions and kinetic typography that feel like the dance itself, never decorative for its own sake.
Technical
Built in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The monochrome aesthetic is maintained at the CSS level; even embedded media is treated with CSS filters to maintain brand coherence. Animations are GPU-accelerated, using transform and opacity exclusively to avoid layout recalculation.
The event calendar is built on a simple JSON data structure, letting the studio manager update the schedule from a spreadsheet export. Mobile-first, most students book on their phones on the way to class. Lighthouse: 91+.
